Zak Bagans: The Ghost Hunter Who Bought A Murder House

Most of us probably would not be interested in living in a home where multiple notorious murders were committed, especially if we happened to believe in ghosts. But Zak Bagans, the famous ghost hunter seen on the Travel Channel show Ghost Adventures, doesn't seem to feel the same way. As reported by People, Bagans has purchased the Los Feliz house, where members of the Manson Family cult murdered Leno and Rosemary LaBianca in August of 1969, marking a notorious chapter in American crime history.

While the exact amount Bagans paid for the house remains unknown, it was previously listed for $1,988,800, suggesting he likely paid a similar amount. So what draws a ghost hunter to a site with such a dark past? Bagans expressed to People that he sensed a supernatural presence within the house, which undoubtedly piqued his interest:

“When I walked onto the property I was blown away by the panoramic views in the front and backyards … it’s breathtaking… Yes, the house has a very dark and gruesome history, but I was also intrigued by the energy I felt while there … It was mysterious and palpable.”

The house on Waverly Drive dates back to the 1920s, a time often associated with hauntings. It's one of the locations where Manson's followers committed murder, allegedly intending to incite an apocalyptic race war based on hidden messages in Beatles lyrics. The house has since changed hands multiple times and was recently listed for sale without any mention of its grim history.

Whether or not the house truly harbors spirits is subjective. For those curious, you can investigate the real estate video from Redfin, looking for hints of any ghostly presences!
